Eight staffed markets, one network — compared honestly so you book from the right page.
Texas is the busiest state on our map — eight staffed markets, three of the country’s ten largest metros, and the Texas Triangle’s constant circulation binding them into lanes that price like shuttles. This hub compares the eight so you can book from the right page: which markets sit on through-routes, where the one honest spur premium applies, how the Metroplex’s three offices divide one pool, and what each city’s calendar does to timing and price.
Every office runs 6:00 AM–11:00 PM local time — seven Central, El Paso on Mountain.
I-35 spine; boomtown depth; flagship + biennial-session calendars.
Western Metroplex anchor; defense manufacturing; Alliance freight corridor.
I-35/I-10 crossing; Military City weekly cadence; South Texas hub.
Center of the Metroplex pool; fastest matching; stadium-district craft.
I-10 through-route both coasts; Fort Bliss scale; Mountain time.
Largest Gulf pool; energy-assignment fluency; flood-aware craft.
Four-interstate crossroads; corporate landing wave; DFW fly-and-drive.
I-37 spur off the San Antonio hub; naval aviation; Winter Texans.
The state’s pricing logic reduces to corridor position. The Triangle (Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, with Austin on the spine between) trades on some of America’s heaviest intrastate traffic: single-day transits, shuttle-depth rates, and booking lead times measured in days. Through-route markets collect long-haul depth beyond the Triangle — Dallas–Fort Worth from four interstates, Houston from I-10 and the port economy, San Antonio from the I-35/I-10 crossing, and El Paso from the transcontinental itself, where both coasts price at corridor rates despite the West Texas mileage. The one honest spur is Corpus Christi: end of I-37, priced with a modest hub-deadhead premium we quote upfront and offset with San Antonio and Valley pairings.
The Metroplex deserves its own sentence: Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington share one carrier pool across thirty-plus municipalities, so booking from any of the three draws identical depth — the pages differ in local fluency, not price. Pick the office nearest your pickup for the sharpest windows: eastern trades and the platinum corridor from Dallas, the defense-and-ranch west from Fort Worth, the entertainment district and mid-cities from Arlington.

Statewide, summer is the crest — school-calendar family moves plus the military’s PCS wave (San Antonio and El Paso at full protocol June–August, Corpus’s naval classes year-round). August stacks the university tides everywhere, Austin’s flagship loudest. Winter runs mild with a few statewide ice-morning pauses and the year’s softest boards — January is the value month in every Triangle market. The distinctive local clocks: Austin’s biennial legislature (odd years only), Fort Worth’s January stock show, San Antonio’s April Fiesta, Houston’s June–November Gulf watch, and Corpus’s October–December Winter Texan arrivals. Each city page carries its full “best time to book” note.
