Effective July 25, 2026. These terms govern use of shipguy.com and brokerage services provided by Ship Guy Auto Transport (MC #1457715, USDOT #3932149), a licensed property broker bonded at $75,000 as required by 49 U.S.C. § 13906.

Our Role, Your Booking

Broker relationship. Ship Guy arranges vehicle transportation with independent, FMCSA-authorized motor carriers; the carrier, not Ship Guy, takes physical possession of your vehicle, and the carrier’s cargo insurance is primary for in-transit loss or damage as described on our Insurance & Claims page. No charge before assignment. You owe nothing until a carrier is assigned to your shipment; rates quoted are estimates until assignment confirms final price. Estimates. Published rate figures reflect recent lane conditions, are refreshed quarterly, and are not guarantees. Your responsibilities. Provide accurate vehicle and address information, present the vehicle in the agreed condition (empty of personal items unless arranged), participate in pickup and delivery inspections, and note any damage on the Bill of Lading before signing at delivery.

Windows, not appointments. Pickup and delivery are scheduled as date windows; weather, traffic, mechanical events, and legal driving-hour limits can shift them, and we will communicate promptly when they do. Cancellations. Bookings may be canceled without charge any time before carrier assignment; after assignment, a dispatch fee may apply as stated on your order confirmation.

Liability, Disputes, and the Fine Print

Claims for in-transit damage proceed against the assigned carrier and its insurer per federal law; Ship Guy will assist as described on the Insurance & Claims page. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ship Guy’s aggregate liability for any claim arising from brokerage services is limited to the brokerage fee paid. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including recourse to our surety bond for broker-conduct claims or FMCSA complaint processes. Site content is provided for general information and may contain estimates and forward-looking statements about markets and seasons. These terms are governed by the laws of the state of our principal place of business; disputes will first be attempted in good-faith negotiation.

Template for attorney review before launch: confirm governing law/venue, the post-assignment fee schedule, and any arbitration preference for your business.
